What To Expect in 2025

Welcome to Corner Canyon Youth Football!

Thank you for your trust and support of our program. We work hard to provide the best experience and development we can for each of your players! Please find our Calendar on the Important Dates page. There some dates that you will need to plan to be in town for: Equipment Handouts, Weigh Ins and Tryouts are most important.

Registration is NOW OPEN!

Early Bird Price (Now – March): $400

Standard Registration (April – June): $425

Late Registration Price (July): $450

  • Registration Fees Include uniforms, player equipment, referees, field rentals, medics, security, field equipment and more!
  • You will also pay a team fee of $125 to cover team expenses like a banquet, pep rallies, treats, etc.
  • You will need to provide cleats, gloves, mouthguard and water bottle.
  • Once registered, you will receive a Welcome Email with the Calendar, Important Information, a link to your Player Profile form, and most importantly, the link to sign up for Equipment Handouts! There are 3 Equipment Handout Dates (June 4th, July 7th and July 16th). Handouts are done BY APPOINTMENT ONLY – walk-ups will be turned away. You must plan to be in town for one of these 3 handouts!
  • New Players: if this is your first year playing with Corner Canyon we will need to collect your player’s birth certificate and proof of residence. This will be submitted to the Ute Conference for approval. Equipment will not be issued until these documents have been submitted to cornercanyon@ucfootball.org.

Practices

  • Practices will begin Friday, August 1st. For the first 3 full weeks of practices, they may be held Monday through Friday with optional Saturday practices. After that, practices may be held 3 nights per week. Specific days and times of practices will be determined by the coaches and communicated at a team level.
  • During the month of August, especially, playing football in the heat, and in full pads and helmet is very hot! Please make sure to send plenty of water with your player, and coaches will be sure to give plenty of water breaks.
  • Players should arrive 10-15 minutes early to every practice to give them time to get ready and start practice on time
  • Bring helmet, pads, practice jersey, football pants, cleats, mouthguard, gloves and water!
  • Each of our practice fields requires us to park in designated parking spots ONLY. We will lose these fields if we do not comply. Please do not obstruct entrances, park in bus lanes, etc. These practice fields will be assigned once we know how many teams we have to work with.
  • Please make sure to let your coach know in advance if you will be late or missing practice/games
  • Games are EVERY SATURDAY, INCLUDING LABOR DAY WEEKEND, and you will need to plan to be in town for all games

TRYOUTS : Monday-Thursday, July 28-31st from 5-8pm @ Galena Park

  • Players are separated by age group and evaluated by our coaches and assistant coaches. It is HOT so bring water!
  • EVERY player who tries out makes a team. NO CUTS
  • Tryouts are intended to help coaches place players on the appropriate team
  • A Draft is held after the last day of tryouts, and is carried out exactly as required by the Ute Conference. After the draft, teams are entered into the system and become written in stone. NO CHANGES will be made, no matter what.

WEIGH-INS: Saturday, August 2nd from 9am-11am @ Willow Springs Elementary

  • ALL players must be weighed in by a Ute Conference official to be eligible to play. Weigh-Ins are MANDATORY and you must do all you can to be available that day. If you absolutely MUST miss, please let us and your coach know as soon as possible so we can make arrangements.
  • X-Men may declare their X-Status and skip weighing-in. They must let their coach know and email cornercanyon@ucfootball.org to declare.
  • Y-Ups and Z-Downs must also be declared in your player profile form (emailed upon registering) or later if necessary by emailing cornercanyon@ucfootball.org.
