What To Expect in 2025

CEDER VALLEY YOUTH FOOTBALL FAQ’s

 

WHO IS ON THE BOARD?

Executive Board:  Jayna Jensen, Drew Blunt, Rory Burke, Levi Lloyd

Equipment/Field Managers:  Ryan Lindsay, Steve Hamilton

Master Coaches:  Abraham Thomas, Will Elliott

Head Team Parents:  Ben Lopshire, Chelsae Zaharias

Concessions Managers:  Kelsey Higgins, Laura Davies

Fundraising / Advertising:  Megan Nissalke / Whitney Hamilton

 

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY REGISTRATION FEE?

  1. Equipment Rental (helmet, shoulder pads, chin guard)
  2. Uniform (2 game jerseys, padded game pants)
  3. Insurance
  4. Field Rentals
  5. Officials, Medics, and Security for game days

 

DOES EVERY PLAYER MAKE A TEAM DURING TRYOUTS?

  1. Yes. Every registered player will make a team. Tryouts are only used to assess the skill level of each player and place them on the team they will be most successful on

 

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED TO PROVIDE FOR MY CHILD?

  1. Mouthguard
  2. Cleats (optional)
  3. Sports cup (optional)

 

WHEN WILL I KNOW WHAT TEAM MY PLAYER IS ON?

  1. Team rosters will be posted after 3-4 days of tryouts.

 

HOW OFTEN ARE PRACTICES?

  1. Practices will start immediately after tryouts and will be held 5 days a week until school starts.
  2. Practices will be reduced to 3 days a week after school starts

 

WILL THERE BE GAMES DURING LABOR DAY WEEKEND AND FALL BREAK?

  1. Yes, plan accordingly.

 

WHAT PARTICIPATION IS REQUIRED OF PARENTS?

  1. Minimum of 5 volunteer hours per player for the season.
  2. Sign and follow the parent conduct agreement form.

 

WHAT COUNTS TOWARD VOLUNTEER HOURS?

  1. Help with field set-up, concessions, or apparel at hosted games.
  2. Volunteer to help with chain gang or time clock at your child’s games.
  3. Help with pre-season and playoff games (entrance/exit gate, concessions, etc.)
  4. Help at league fundraising events.

 

WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE THE GAME SCHEDULE?

  1. A list of game dates is already posted. However, the actual game schedule (times and locations) will be finalized after team rosters have been finalized. The first 5 games are posted at the beginning of the season, and the final 3 games are posted after the first 5 games are complete.

 

ARE THERE FEES TO ATTEND GAMES?

  1. Regular season games have no fee.
  2. A $5.00 entrance fee will be charged to attend the pre-season, play-offs, semi-finals, and championship games.

 

ARE PETS ALLOWED AT GAMES?

  1. No. Absolutely no pets, including emotional support animals, are allowed at any Ute Conference field. Keep your pet home or you will be asked to leave. Please warn everyone that comes to the fields to not bring their pets.
  2. Service animals are allowed in accordance with the American Disabilities Act
